Funeral of Mrs. C. W. Burdick.
The funeral of Mrs. C. W. Burdick, news of whose death reached us last Thursday just before we went to press, was held last Sunday afternoon at the family residence in West Decorah at two o'clock. Rev. M. Willett officiated, and the attendance was unusually large.
Mrs. Burdick was the daughter of Dr. Lewis Pagin, of South Bend, Ind., and was born Dec. 27th, 1864. She was married to Mr. Burdick Nov. 12th, 1894. Miss Laura Stone, a daughter by a former marriage, one sister, Mrs. J. S. Woodruff, three brothers, Oliver Pagin, Lewis Pagin and Frank S. Pagin, and her husband survive her.
During her residence in Decorah Mrs. Burdick has never been in the most robust health, and the illness which caused her death was peritonitis. She enjoyed the highest esteem of all who knew her, and was a good wife and a kind and loving mother.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Ida who died Jan. 6, 1898 and is buried in Phelps Cemetery
