OBITUARY.
PHILIPS—At the home of her parents in this city, Friday, Aug. 11, 1899, Edna Belle Philips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rollins, wed 33 years, 2 months and 8 days.
Edna Belle Hollins was born in Burr Oak township, this county, where the greater part of her life has been spent. On July 4th, 1887, she was married to Oscar Philips. To them two children were born, Frances and Emma, the former dying in April, 1893. Mr. Philips died in June, 1895. Since his death Mrs. Philips has lived most of the time in Decorah with her parents, From youth she was religiously inclined, hot not until last spring did she unite with any church. At that time she joined the M. E. church of this city. Daring her last illness she suffered greatly but resignedly. Besides her daughter Emma and her parents, brothers and sisters, she leaves many warm friends to mourn her early demise.
Her funeral was conducted from the home of her parents in this city, on last Sabbath morning, by her pastor. Rev. L. L. Lockard, and her body was interred in the cemetery near Burr Oak by the side of her husband and child.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Ednabelle Phillips and that she was born in 1866.
