Intelligence came Tuesday last of the death of Mrs. I. S. Finney, formerly and for many years a resident of Canoe township, in this county. This event occured May 5, 1899, at the home of her son, L. C. Finney, in Delta, Colo., in the 74th year of her age. She had gone one month previous to Delta to visit. She was sick two weeks but not confined to the bed and was thought to be improving, when she quietly passed away, heart trouble being the immediate cause. Interment took place from her home in Fairbury, Nebr., May 9th.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Almira and that she was born in 1825 and is buried in the Fairbury Cemetery.
