GEORGE DUNN
George Dunn, mention of whose serious illness was made last week, died on Saturday evening between the hours of nine and ten o’clock at his room at the Winnesheik. His death was very unexpected, for though he was in a most serious condition, he appeared to be resting more easily than he had for some time past.
Mr. Dunn was an Englishman by birth and his ancestral home was near Taunton, England, but for the greater part of the past ten years he has made his home in Decorah. His parents are dead but relatives in England and his brother, Nicholas Dunn, at one time residing here also, but now of New York, survive him. He was 37 years old.
Mr. Dunn was a large hearted, genial man, ever ready to do a friendly act or speak a kind word. Among his friends, and they were numerous, his death is greatly regretted.
The funeral service was held at the Episcopal church yesterday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. Gorrell, of Cresco, officiating.
