Henry Heivley Dead.
Word came last Saturday to his mother and sister that Henry Heivley had died February 12th at Dawson City. As will be remembered he went to Klondike last year, but nothing was heard form{sic} him after September. The letter which brought the news of his death, was written by a man named Jenkins who was working with him, and accompanied another letter written Jan. 20th by Henry, but not finished. In these letters was contained the first intelligence of Henry’s illness. He had been sick for four months from malaria and scurvy; doctor's bills had eaten into his surplus but be had enough to take him out of the country as soon as he could gain strength sufficient to travel. He seemed to think he was on the gain but from the final result it is evident that be was far weaker than he supposed.
Henry had many friends in Decorah who learn with regret of his demise.
