After an illness of a year, Otto Alstad, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Alstad, passed away yesterday morning, the immediate cause of death being peritonitis, as disclosed by post mortem examination. Otto became ill a year ago with the grippe and has not been well since. Previous to that time he had been of robust health. The deceased was born in Decorah and had passed his 21st birthday. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers George, of Chicago, Severt, John, Ben and Carsten, of Decorah, and a sister, Mrs. H Hansen, of Cleveland, Ohio. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been concluded but it is probable that they will be held Sunday afternoon. Rev. O.E. Schmidt will officiate.
