Mrs. John Beadle, one of the pioneer settlers in the southern part of this township, died at her home last Thursday night after a lingering illness. The funeral occurred Sunday, Sept. 23d, in the M. E. church of this place, the Rev. Barton, of Postville, officiating. A large concourse of neighbors and friends attended the funeral. The husband and two sons survive the deceased. We are not furnished with a biography.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Mary who is buried in Bloomfield Cemetery and was born in 1826.
