Another Pioneer Gone.
Mrs. Samuel Bolger died at the home of her son John in this city, on Monday evening, upwards of eighty years old. She with her husband and a family of little children came to Iowa from Bedford Co., Pa., in 1841, and removed to Winnesheik among the early pioneers. They settled in Canoe township, where they lived until after the death of the husband and father, several years ago. Deceased was an exemplary Christian woman, and a devoted mother. She was the mother of twelve children, of whom the survivors are John and Adam Bolger, Mrs. Wm. McLain, and Mrs. W. R. Smith. Her remains were laid away yesterday afternoon in the Canoe cemetery beside those of her husband, Rev. A. W. Smith of the M. E. church officiating.Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows this was Elizabeth who is buried in Russell Cemetery and was born in 1820 and died Sept. 10, 1900
