Death from a Horse’s Kick,
Last Sunday morning while all the members of the family, save his mother and sister were at church, the seven-year-old son of John Knox, of Burr Oak township, was kicked by a horse and died from the effects of his injuries. The little fellow led the horses out to water, and while he had them out one of them laid down to roll in some manner the boy was kicked on the face and temple, dying soon afterward. Such an affliction is hard to bear. Mr. and Mrs. Knox have the sympathy of a host of frsends{sic} and acquaintances in their hour of bereavement. The funeral was held Tuesday morning.Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show this was J. Francis who was born in 1893 and is buried in St. Agnes Cemetery.
