Death of Bishop Lennihan.
At the home of his brother at Marshalltown, on Monday last, Bishop Thomas M. Lennihan, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died. Bishop Lennihan will be remembered by the older residents and members of the Catholic church of Decorah as a priest at St. Benedict's church from 1867 to 1871. From Decorah he was transferred to Fort Dodge where he remained until 1898, when he became bishop of Cheyenne. He was among the most popular of the Catholic clergy of Iowa and was respected as much outside of his church as he was beloved in it. At the time of death it was expected he would return to Iowa and take the bishopric of Sioux City.
