OBITUARY.
Mrs. Jessie Olean O’Brien died in Superior, Wisconsin, Nov, 21st, after a long and painful sickness. Her disease was consumption. Mrs. O’Brien will be remembered as Miss Ward who was born in Decorah, July 4th 1871. Here she grew to womanhood and on Feb. 20th, 1890, was married to Michael O’Brien. Since that time her home for the most part has been in Superior. During her months of sickness and suffering, she was visited by Rev, B. W. Hobbs, pastor of the Baptist Church, and before her death she professed faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She expressed her deep regret that she had neglected this important matter so long. She died in peace. Her husband, daughter, and her sister, Mrs. Frank Betts, brought the body to Decorah. The funeral was held in the Baptist church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, J. W. Allen. A large company of relatives and friends was present. Beautiful flowers bad been provided by loving hands. The Royal Neighbors conducted a brief burial service at the grave.
