OBITUARY.
After an illness of nearly eighteen months, a year of which she was helpless, Mrs. S. O. Wilson died at her home on Mechanic street last Friday morning. Mrs. Wilson’s maiden name was Sarah O. Hegland and she was born Sept. 1, 1832, in Voss, Norway, coming to America in 1850, landing June 15. On March 20th, 1854, she was married at Rock Prairie, Wis., to S. O. Wilson, and came to Decorah to reside on May 15, the following year. Here they have since lived, so that in Mrs. Wilson's death Decorah loses one of its pioneers. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, three of whom with the husband survive. They are Mrs. Jenson, of Lattimer, Iowa, Mrs. J. J. Hopperstad, of this city, and Mrs. L. J. Van Buren, of LeSeur Center The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the house at 2 p. m , and was largely attended. Rev. A Jacobson conducted the services, and Rev. Askevold and Rev Jenson also made brief remarks. The remains were interred in the Norwegian cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Lutheran Decorah Cemetery and her name is shown as Sigri “Sara”.
