A Pioneer Gone.
Mrs. Ingr Caroline Estrem, born in Norway, April 27, 1821, passed away from this life March 14, 190l, at the home in Frankville township, which has been the family home continuously since 1850, The husband, Christopher A. Estrem, passed beyond in 1888. Since then she, with her son John, has lived on at the old home place.
Mrs. Estrem was a quiet and faithful woman, one of the kind of people who are called the “salt of the earth.” She was not sick long and was nursed by her children, two of whom were present. Two were absent because of the distance, they residing on the Pacific coast. She was conscious to the very last, and very happy in the thought that the time had come that she might go home. She had a happy and grateful disposition, always finding so much to be thankful for to God and those about her.
The funeral was largely attended by neighbors and friends.
