Miss Torbir Salveson was born in Norway, Sept. 22d, 1847; came to America with her parents in 1853 was married to Ole Burreson in 1867 and became a widow in 1876. On Feb. 13th, after a long and painful sickness, Mrs Burreson, with a full trust in Him who reigns there, passed to the beyond. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Burreson was a member, on the afternoon of the 16th. Mrs. Burreson passed nearly her whole life in Hesper, and it has been a life full of good work in the home, in the church and in the community. Those who will the most accutely feel her loss are her aged father-in-law, Burre Olsen, and her four sons, all of whom, except Salye Burreson, who lives on an adjoining farm, had their home with the loving mother and faithful daughter who has gone on before.

Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Hesper Lutheran Cemetery shows her first named as Torbjor.
