—A telegram received last Saturday by R. F. Gibson announced the death of Major Barr at Holidaysburg, Pa. Major Barr is father of our former townsman, Mr. Perry Barr, and brother-in-law to Mr. Gibson.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Samuel and that he is buried in the Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Cemetery in Hollidaysburg, PA. He was born April 4, 1817.
