L. Peckham died of consumption at his home in Cresco on Friday morning after many months of suffering. His remains were brought to the Kendallville cemetery on Sunday for burial, by the side of his daughter Gertrude who died several years ago.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show he was born Sept. 3, 1835 and died Sept. 10, 1902.
