Death of a Bluffton Pioneer.
Mrs. Harriet Smith of Bluffton township, a sister of Mrs. W. B. Updegraff of this city, died suddenly on Wednesday of last week. Her maiden name was Harriet Matilda Shear. She was the widow of George Smith who died about twenty years ago. They made their home in Bluffton township for forty-five years. Mrs. Smith is survived by four children. Her age was 72 years.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Russell Cemetery and was born March 2, 1831 and died Aug. 17, 1902.
