Jas. Peck died at his home in Frankville April 24, 1902, after a lingering illness from Bright’s disease and can¬er of the stomach. Mr. Peck was born in Oswego county, N. Y., June 14, l833, and came to Iowa in 186l, where he has since resided. Sept. 1st, 1856 he was married to Lucinda Borst, and to this union nine children were born, six of whom are still living. His wife and children, Ira of Ocheyedan, Wilbur of Waukon, James A. of McGregor, Frank, Fred and Mrs. Myra Kneeskern of Frankville are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Gregg officiating, assisted by Rev. Burgess and Rev. Chamberlin, with interment at Frankville cemetery.
