ALBERT G. SEAVY
was born in Woodstock, Vt., Feb. 11th, 1830, and died at his home in Decorah last Friday, aged three days more than 72 years. Mr. Seavy came to Decorah on the 2d of May, 1856, and has since resided here, a respected citizen, filling his place acceptably as a man and citizen. He was twice married: in 1854 to Mary Jane Brown, who bore to him two children,—William H. Seavy, of Kansas City, and Mrs. Fred L. Akers, Decorah. In 1877 he married Mrs. Zylphia A Wager, who survives. Besides his widow and two children he leaves a brother living In Tennessee and a sister residing at the old Vermont home. For forty or so years Mr. Seavy had been an active and earnest member of the Methodist church of this city. Funeral services were held from the family home on Washington street last Sunday afternoon, Rev. K. W. Robbins officiating. Genial in disposition, kindly affectioned towards all, and always true to his profession of reunion and his political opinions, he will be long remembered by many friends.
