TUCKER.
Francis Tucker, of Freeport, died Sunday morning last at 5: 30 o’clock and was buried Tuesday afternoon in the Freeport cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born in 1826 at Middleville. Conn., and came to Decorah from Birmingham. Conn., in 1854. He will be more familiarilv known as the Trout Run blacksmith, as he followed his trade as smith at that point for many years. He is survived by a son and two daughters, Wm. Tucker and Mrs. John Lee and Mrs. A. B. Robinson. The funeral services were held at the Freeport church. Rev. Burgess officiating. The services at the grave were conducted by the Masonic fraternity, of which order Mr. Tucker had been a member since early manhood.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born October 10, 1826 and died January 26, 1902.
