Mrs. James Stockman, mother of E. M. Stockman passed away at about 8 o'clock yesterday morning: at the home of her daughte{r}, Mrs. Jennie Stockman, who resides northeast of Cresco. The deceased had been ill for about three weeks. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the Morgan church.

OBITUARY.
Bridget Ryan was born in Ireland, April 6, 1831, and died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jennie James on the morning of June 30, 1910.
When she was 16 years of age she was converted and joined the M. E. church. On the 21st of September, 1850, she was united in marriage to Mr. James Stockman in Isle Lamont, Vt., who preceded her to the better world, April 28, 1900, at Madrid, Iowa. There were 9 children born them, 3 daughters and 6 sons; three of the latter died in infancy, and two sons Henry and Elmer and one daughter Mabel dying after reaching mature life. Beside the daughters Mrs. James and Mrs. Henry Bents, and one son Elwin Stockman, who survive her, she leaves one brother Capt. Edmond Ryan of Buffalo, New York.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the Morgan church, conducted by Rev. Gammons, assisted by Rev. Young of Ridgeway. Interment was in Kendallville cemetery.
