Among those who attended the funeral of Kate Shema were Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Shema of Decorah, Mrs. Segardahl, Eda Jacobson and Tom Pierce, Calmar.
Kate Shema died at her home in this city Wednesday morning, aged thirty-six years. She has been sick for some time with lung fever, but it was only for two weeks that she was confined to her bed. The funeral was held from the Catholic church Friday morning at ten o'clock. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery on the hill.
