Anna Margueretta Ruffridge, wife of Peter Ruffridge, died at the hospital at Rochester on Monday of last week, and her remains were brought to her old home at Locust on Friday, the funeral being held at the German Lutheran church Sunday at two o’clock, Rev. K. Seehuus officiating.
Mrs. Ruffridge was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kern, and was born April 9, 1872. She was united in marriage to Peter Ruffridge Apr. 30, 1896, and lived in the vicinity of Locust until March 27th last, when they moved to Grenada, Minn. Three children were born to them—Pearl, Roy and Vernie,—who with their father, her parents, three grand parents, one sister and three brothers, besides many other relatives and friends, are left to mourn her death. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, always ready to lend a helping hand in hours of need. She was a member of the German Lutheran church.
