Some Notable Deaths.
The death of Dr. A. B. Hannah was announced in the Elkader Register of last week. The doctor was the last postmaster at Moneek, in this county, and when the office was discontinued and all hope had gone of keeping the town alive, he removed to Elkader. This was over forty years ago. From the brief death notice we infer his later years were spent in poverty. The funeral rites were in charge of the Masonic fraternity, of which he had been a lifelong member.
