Death of Thomas Anderson.
Thomas Anderson died last Thursday morning at his home on Franklin street, aged 83 years. He was born in Norway and came to this country in 1850. Until he came to Decorah in 1875 he re¬sided at Madison, Wis. He built the Synod Lutheran church and until failing health compelled him to relinquish active labor he continued to work at his trade as a builder. Mr. Anderson was married at Madison and he is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Hanson. Three other children have preceded him to the grave. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the United Lutheran church, and the remains were interred in the Lutheran cemetery.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone shows he was born Aug. 31, 1820 and died Sept. 10, 1903.
