Aiden Benedict Dead.
A telegram received this morning by Decorah relatives brought the intelligence that Aiden Benedict died yesterday in New York from heart failure. Two weeks ago word came that he was having trouble with his heart, but how seriously he was afflicted was not fully revealed. Mr. Benedict was the only son of Uncle Harvey and Aunt Lovina Benedict, and while he has always kept in touch with his boyhood home for years he has made New York his residence, while he was engaged in the successful management of several theatrical companies. He is survived by a wife and one sister. The former we understand has been critically ill for several weeks from tuberculous and is not expected to live, and his sister is in Phoenix, Arizona. It is expected the remains will be brought to Decorah for burial.

Brought Home for Burial
The remains of Aiden Benedict arrived in Decorah Monday afternoon and at five o’clock they were taken to the Phelps cemetery for burial beside his father and mother. The cause of his death was Bright’s disease, and not heart disease as first reported. Mr. Benedict was in his fifty-third year.
