Donette Trisler (Frana) died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Oct. 15, 2019. following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 57. A celebration of life in Donette’s memory is 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Danan Lansing Building at the Decorah Fairgrounds in Decorah.

Donette was born in Decorah Jan. 10, 1962, to Darlene and Dennis Frana. She lived and worked in La Crescent, Minn., where she met William (Bill) Trisler Jr.
They moved to Tulsa, Okla. in 2007, but braved the cold a year later to be married back in La Crescent Dec. 23, 2008. Donette worked as a mortgage broker until the time of her illness.

Donette was a social butterfly who especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers with her friends. She also enjoyed playing board games, golfing and spending time with her many adoring friends and large, loving family.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; four step-children: Christopher Juhl, Ryan (Elijah and Carson) Trisler, Bree Trisler and Bryn (Brad) Dolezal; her parents, Darlene and Dennis; brothers and sisters: Denise Shanks, Daryl (Sue) Frana, Doreen (Jeff) Roney, Douglas Frana, Dean (Maria) Frana and Dawn (Bob) Hawkins; mother-in-law, Darlyne Dwyer; sisters-in-law: Debbie (Craig) Usborne, Denise (Ray) Serres, and Diane (Mark) Patterson; nieces and nephews, and numerous great friends.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gene Dwyer; brother-in-law, Duane Shanks; nephew, Robert Roney; her grandparents; and great friend, Carla Proffitt.
