Sad Death Near Canton.
The Free Lance tells of a sad death near Canton on the morning of Feb. 27. Ethan C. Boyd, an elderly man, started for home the night before and about ten o’clock Friday his body was found in the field of Josiah Castcrton near the Elliota school house, life almost extinct. From the report it would seem that in the dark he became lost, wandered around until he was exhausted and sank down unconscious, where he was found the next day. He is spoken of as a man of more than average intelligence, having been engaged at one time in the practice of law.
