The other death came into the home of Charles Clark Mr. Clark lives near the Milwaukee tracks west of Maple Avenue and had succeeded in getting his family out of the house. His wife, who was carrying a little three year old child, was swept from her feet and lost her hold on the baby and it was carried away in the flood. The remains were found in some debris near the Milwaukee freight depot. Mr. Clark got the rest of the family into a tree, bound himself to its trunk and remained there until it was safe to attempt to reach a better place.
