Miss Mary Bellinger was born in Alsfield, Germany, Dec. 11th, 1832, and died at her home in Castalia, Iowa, on Nov. 24th, 1904, after an illness of about three months. She came to America when 20 years of age, was married to John Winn on Jan. 1st. 1856 at Janesville, Wis. They moved to Castalia in the spring of 1861 where they have ever since resided. She leaves seven children to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother. The funeral service was held from the U. B. church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Smith officiating, with interment in the Bloomfield cemetery. Mrs. Winn was a devoted member of the M. E. church and was ever ready and willing to do her part in church work and will be greatly missed. The friends of the deceased surely have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their great loss. We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted during the illness and burial of our beloved mother. Children of Mrs. Mary Winn.
