Another Pioneer Passes.
Dominick Curran, one of the pioneer settlers of Glenwood township, died at his home in Decorah Sunday morning at ten o’clock and was buried Tuesday morning from the Catholic church.
Mr. Curran came to Winneshiek and located in Glenwood in 1858 where he continued to reside until about four years ago. His wife died last fall. On Thursday last he was stricken by paralyis, and as he was in his 88th year and feeble he could not rally.
Deceased was one of the well known men of his section of the county, a good citizen and a kind neighbor. He was a hard worker and has acquired a competence which is left to his children, Mrs. M. J. Drew of Howard county, James of Bluffton and Misses Mary and Maggie who resided at home.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in St. Benedict Cemetery and was born in 1816.
