Abigail Dyer was born in northeastern New York, Oct. 3, 1828, On Jan. 1st, 1851, she was united in marriage with Truman H, Wiles who died Dee. 28th, 1902, at the home of their son, D. C. Wiles, near Mabel, where Mrs. Wiles died on the evening of the 17th, after a long and painful illness. Mr. and Mrs. Wiles came to Iowa in October, 1866, and made their home in Hesper almost continually until their death. The funeral service was at the Friends church, of which Mrs. Wiles was a member, on the 19th, Rev. I. L. Seager of Mabel WILES,DYER,OSBORN,PETERSONpreaching. One son, D. C. Wiles of Mabel, and two daughters, Mrs. Kellie Osborn, of Colorado, and Mrs. Mae Peterson of Indiana Harbor, mourn the loss of a kind mother and have the sympathy of the community.
