OBITUARY.
Mrs. Roselath Lingenfelter Parker, wife of E, E, Parker of this city, died last Sunday night at half-past twelve at her home in lower Main street. For some years past she has been suffering from creeping paralysis, which finally caused her death. Mrs. Parker was born in Machais, Cataraugus Co., New York, August 13, 1851 On May 14, 1875, she married E. E. Parker, and came with him to Decorah in 1888. To them were born six children, four of whom with the husband survive her. They are three sons. Rupert, William, and Purr Parker and one daughter, Miss Shirley. The funeral service was held Monday evening at 7 o’clock at the family home, Rev. M. Willett officiating. The remains were taken by the relatives back to the old home in New York for burial. There is sincere sympathy felt for the remaining friends in their sorrow.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Roseltha. She is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Machias, NY. It also shows she died May 9, 1904.
