Gina Brincks, age 41, of Decorah, died on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at her home outside of Decorah.

Private family and close friends service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Schluter Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave. Decorah, Iowa at 11am. Visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.

Following the service her children have requested a potluck picnic at Phelps Park, Decorah Iowa at noon for all friends and family to celebrate Gina. Please join us to share a meal, bring a dish to share. In lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the family in memory of Gina.

In January of 1984 Gina became a member of the Brincks family when she was adopted along with her sister Sarah Brinks Kimiri at ages seven and four, joining their brothers Mark, Scott and Aaron Brincks. The path that Gina traveled in life was not always smooth. However the last few years were better for her, because of the help of her ex-husband, James Rolfs, her kids Anthony Pearson and Hayden Pearce. Her sister Sarah and stepdad, Mark Broich, Mom Janet and some very good friends especially Nikki. She was beginning to realize that life could be better, and she voiced her appreciation. Her greatest joy in life was watching the Hawkeyes and Colts play football and watching her son Hayden in his school plays and speech, she also loved Meow Meow her tabby cat.

Gina is survived by her Friend: James Rolfs, Decorah, IA; Children: Anthony Pearson, Decorah, IA and Hayden Pearce, Ossian, IA; Mother: Janet Brincks; Stepdad: Mark Broich, Ossian, IA; Sister: Sarah (Dennis) Brincks-Kimiri, Mason City, IA; Brothers: Mark (Deborah) Brincks, Lake Forest, CA, Scott (Karen) Brincks, Henrico, VA and Aaron (Tami) Brincks, Calmar, IA. Nieces and nephews: Kyle and Cole Brincks, Henrico VA, Rachel Brincks, Lake Forest, CA and Donovan and Sierra Kimiri, Mason City, IA.

Gina was preceded in death by Sister: Madonna Towne; Her adopted father: Jerry Brincks; Nephew: Dominic Horns; Niece: Savanna Horns; Cousin Mitchell Brincks and Lauren Colville; Her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
