The remains of Mrs. Alex. Russell arrived from the west yesterday for burial.

Almina Allen was born in Frankville township, Winneshiek county, Iowa, April 16, 1858, She grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Alex. Russell April 10, 1877. In 1879 she with her husband moved to Dakota where they resided until 1881. They then returned to Ossian where she lived until 1893, when she with her family removed to Fayette, Iowa, where she resided until death came to her release. She was a patient sufferer and for more than a year has been in failing health. She died Jan, 23,1904. A husband, one son and two daughters survive, together with her mother, one sister and three brothers, two children having preceded her to the better land. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor and, friend who will be sincerely mourned. The funeral was held from the Centennial church Monday, Jan. 25, Rev. Ross officiating.
