—Charles D. Baker, the aged father of Mrs. C. C. Coutant, died last Saturday at Portage, Wis. He has been a yearly visitor to Decorah for some time and was known to not a few of our people as a kindly gentleman. Mrs. Coutant was with him during his last illness and Mr. Coutant and daughter went over Monday to attend the funeral.
