BATEMAN.
Elizabeth Light was born June 25, 1823, in Tioga county, Penn. In 1838 she moved to Illinois, and in 1843 was united in marriage to Thomas Bateman. To this union seven children were born, thre{sic} of whom are now living; William, of Cresco; John, of Spencer, Iowa, and Eugene, of Minneapolis. She is also survived by one sister who resides in Charles City and one brother, John Light of Cresco. She departed this life, June 11, 1908, in the 85th year of her age. Funeral services were con¬ducted by Rev. Gammons last Friday, The interment was at Kendallville.
