James Kinnison died this morning at his home in Canoe.

James Kinnison, who has been sick for several weeks, died on the 26th ult. He was born and brought up on the farm where he died. He was unmarried and had always lived at home. His father died several years ago, later on his mother also died, and he and a sister were left alone. Seldom is a man blessed with such kind sisterly love as she bestowed on him. Our sincere sympathy goes out to the sisters, especially the one who has ministered to him all her life. He leaves four sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Rev. Hunt of Decorah spoke words of comfort.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in Burr Oak Cemetery shows he was born December 31, 1855.
