After a lingering illness of over year, Daniel Mornan passed away last Thursday at his home seven miles south of town. Mr. Mornan was one of the old settlers of this vicinity, having reached the age of over eighty years. The funeral services were held at the St. Frances de Sales Catholic church Saturday, conducted by Rev. Lechtenberg.

Transcriber’s Note: His gravestone in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery shows he was born in 1825 and the spelling of his name as Moarnan
