Alex. Russell Dead.
At an early hour yesterday morning Alex. Russell died from dropsy from which he had suffered for some time, at the home of his sister in Decorah. Mr. Russell was a bachelor, 65 years old, and a member of that well known and pioneer family of Canoe township. In many respects he was a character, a genial personality and a unique turn in expressing himself drawing about him a large circle of friends. He is survived by his sister and a number of nieces and nephews.
