On last Wednesday occurred the death of Mr. Frank Lansing, one of Ravena’s oldest settlers. Mr. Lansing was born in Germany Dec. 21, 1821, and died July 23, 1905. He was married in 1855 to Theodora Fedder, seven children being born of this union, namely:--Herman, Mrs. C. Hauber, William, Minnie, Wensel, Mrs. J. Broghammer and August, all living in this county. Mr. Lansing came to America in 1864, living five years at Festina, one at north Washington, then settled in Ravena, until last February when he moved to Ossian with his daughter Minnie. Old age was the cause of his death. The funeral was held Saturday at 0:30 in St. Frances De Sales church.
