Miss Giles Dead.
Miss Ellen Giles, the eldest daughter of the late B. F. and Caroline Giles, died at the family home in Decorah last Saturday night in her forty-ninth year. Miss Giles was born October 2, 1856, and her home has always been in Winneshiek county. For several years she has been in ill health and the cause of her death was consumption. She is survived by three brothers, Frank and Edmund of Decorah and Clarence in Rice, Minn.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church, Rev. E. G Hunt officiating, and the remains were buried in the Russell cemetery near the former home of the deceased
