John Martinek, the Ft. Atkinson hotel man, commited suicide on Friday last. He left the hotel about noon and was found dead under a railroad bridge near town, the result of drinking carbolic acid. He was a jovial man who would not be suspected of any dis-position to commit so desperate a deed. It is thought that money matters had so preyed upon his mind that he became deranged.
