OBITUARY
MINTEY:
Frank E. Mintey was born in Hudson, Summit County, Ohio, June 21, 1866, the third child born to Andrew J. and Sarah Mintey. He moved with the family to Iowa in 1860 and assisted in the cultivation and development of the home farm in Albion Township, and grew to manhood under the careful training which characterized the home, and here was laid the foundation of the strong physical, mental and moral manhood of which he was a splendid type.
December 17, 1890, he was united in marriage with Genevra E. Clark, who with two sons. Perrin and Lila, survive him, little Luana having preceded him to the Heavenly Land about five years ago.
He united with the M. E. church under the pastorate of Rev. Williams.
His father died July 31, 1893. The mother and two sisters, Mesd. Will Clark, of Cresco, and Lillie Peckham, of Albion, and his brother Charles, of Bonair survive him.
The deceased was taken ill about two weeks ago with lagrippe, which was superceded by pneumonia from which he died at 2 o’clock Friday morning, Feb. 15th.
The funeral was held last Sunday at the Kendallville M. E church, Rev. John Gammons, of Cresco, officiating. Interment was In Eddy Cemetery at Kendallville.
