WENTWORTH:
Louisa Candace Hunter was born in Cherokee, Crawford County. Kansas, April 28, 1876, and departed life at her home in Cresco on May 26, 1906.
December 28, 1898, she was united in marriage to Sherman Wentworth, and to this union were born three children all of whom in tender years are left with their father to mourn the untimely death of an affectionate and devoted wife and mother.
Besides her husband and children, she leaves her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Hunter; two brothers, Datus E. Hunter, of Lancaster, California, and Christian W. Hunter, of Lansing, Ia.; four sisters, Mrs. D. L. Beman, of Castlewood, S. D., Mrs. Albert Albertson, of Cresco, Ia., Mrs. A. J. Platt, of Boulder, Colo., and Miss Ina Hunter, of Pasadena, California, to mourn the loss of an affectionate daughter and sister; besides numerous relatives and friends by whom she will be sadly missed.
In the year 1900, she united with the Baptist Church in Cresco, and ever lived a good, Christian life. She was patient in her last, painful illness, and when she knew that the end was near she said: "God’s will be done. He knows best"
The funeral was from the Baptist Church of which she had so long been a true and consistent member, on Monday afternoon, Bev. Gammons officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.{sic}

Transcriber’s Note: Gravestone Photos show she is buried in Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery and that her year of birth was 1875.
