A Sad Accident.
A bad accident happened to John Numedahl, last Saturday, while threshing for Chris Reiling, near Fort Atkinson, on the old Jacob Falk place. John was on top of the separator and signaled the engineer to stop, and in cleaning off near the drive pulley his overall leg caught on a set screw which drew his leg down under the pulley and broke his leg off just above the ankle. His leg was so tightly wedged in that it was some time before he could be freed. Some men boarded the section mens’ hand car and speeded it to Fort Atkinson for Dr. Horton. Dr. Roome, of Calmar, was also called.
Since putting the above in type, we learn that death resulted from blood poison Wednesday night. It is a sad blow to his family.
He leaves a wife and a large family of children. The funeral will take place Saturday.—Calmar Courier.

Transcriber’s Note: Calmar Lutheran Cemetery shows he was born March 25, 1856 and died September 21, 1905.
