Obituary. - Death has invaded the family of one of our prominent citizens Mrs S. A Tupper departed this life on the morning of the 14th inst., after a lingering illness of months’, not to say years’ duration, which she bore with Christian patience and fortitude. Mrs. T. was an amiable, conscientious woman upright in life, benevolent to those around her, and possessed of rare social qualities. Her disposition was one of the most genial we ever knew By this instance of Divine Providence not only a husband is made to mourn the loss of the companion who has traveled life’s uneven path with him for more than a quarter century, and children to bid adieu to one who has all to them a mother could be, but the whole community is nailed to mourn the loss one who was justly esteemed for her many virtues, and prized throughout the circle in which she moved for her social qualities.
The deceased was a native of Meniz, Cayuga Co., N Y„ and had resided in the West some six years. The funeralwill take place today (Thursday) at 2 o’clock, precisely, from the Church. Her Phelps cemetery gravestone gives her age as 46 years 16 Days
