Harlan Edwin "Harley" Klepper, age 80, died Friday, July 15, 2016 at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital of natural causes. Per his wishes there was no funeral. A family memorial will be held at a later date in Frankville, Iowa with burial in the Frankville Cemetery.

Harlan was born December 21, 1935 in Waukon, Iowa, son of Edwin and Ida (Goeke) Klepper. He married Beverly Roberts on April 19, 1958 and they were later divorced. He married Marilyn Long. She died on April 18, 2009. Harlan worked at Rath Packing Plant in Waterloo for several years and then worked construction for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his children: two daughters, Roxanne Klepper and Shannon Klepper-Larson, both of Waterloo; a son Mark (Lori) Klepper of Cedar Falls, Iowa; five grandchildren Stephanie Mohorne, Jason Mohorne, and Sabrina Larson, all of Waterloo, Mark Klepper II and Kaylin Klepper, both of Cedar Falls; five great-grandchildren D.J. Jones, Dallas Jones, and Amaya Eubanks, all of Waterloo, Christian Klepper and Caleb Klepper, both of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Jean (Leo) Berg of Decorah, Iowa and Karen Schnuelle of Castalia, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Curtiss Klepper and a brother-in-law, Donald Schnuelle.
