Services to be held for L. Funke
Leonard Funke, 83, died on April 12, 2002 at the Elkader Nursing Home in Elkader. Services for Leonard Funke are pending at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
Leonard Funke was born May 5, 1918, the son of Hubert and Katherine (Roth) Funke near Decorah.
On September 28, 1940 he married LaVonne Emery. They lived in the Burr Oak and Decorah areas until moving to the Harmony, MN area. They farmed near the Niagra Cave for many years.
He is survived by his children: Melvin of Granger, MN, Kristie Funke of Rochester, MN, Jo Ann Raclue of Hayfield, MN, and Rose Tripp of Cresco; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife LaVonne on April 18, 1985 and one sister: Frances Houdek.
