Elberta Huinker, age 84, of Calmar, IA, died on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, IA with Rev. Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, French Chapel, 202 South Washington Street, Calmar, IA and also after 9:30 a.m., at the Church on Monday morning.

She is survived by her husband Dennis. Children: Wayne (Roxanne) Huinker, Decorah, IA; John (Ruth) Huinker, Decorah, IA; Mike (Kim) Huinker, Decorah, IA; Ed Huinker, Decorah, IA; Jeanie (Jim Kircher) Sullivan, Iowa City, IA; Ann (Dennis) Tressel, Dubuque, IA; Becky Huinker, Chicago, Ill. Son-in-law: Thomas Timp, Dubuque, IA. Sister: Imogene Macal, Decorah, IA.
